Sam and Carla contacted to me around two weeks before their wedding. They hadn’t thought about their photography so much as they had friends who were really great at Photography but it got to the last minute and Carla, the Bride thought that actually, it could be a nice idea to have some photographs of the key moments of her wedding. Their initial meeting turned into their Engagement shoot by Hastings Pier. Carla wore a navy satin dress cut on the bias and Sam a fedora with a FEATHER on it. Added to this, the sun was just setting and so their shoot was looked over by a full moon and a dusky sky. Dusk is my favourite and so I tried to act composed but unfortunately I probably came across as an excitable, over enthusiastic child. When it all comes together at the drop of a hat it is just too exciting to contain my enthusiasm for a beautiful photograph. Especially when birds flew over us and Carla walked barefoot with Sam. Cue dusky pinks, blues and greens, silhouettes and all things soft that dusk brings us. I hope you can see from their images how unassuming and kind these two are. And so Carla and Sam were married on a bright day in Summer at St Mary in the Castle surrounded by their friends and family. I hope you enjoy a few of the highlights above.
